Return Policy: Ammunition, Special Orders, Gift Certificates and NFA items cannot be returned. All sales are final, but we want customers to be happy with their purchases. If you desire to return an item, please contact us and bring the item back to our store front within 30 days in as new condition with packaging. We will be happy to exchange items for products of equal value or placing the value of your items in your store account for use on future purchases.
All electronic devices such as hearing protection, lasers, flashlights, scopes, optics, and range finders are covered by the manufacturer in case of a defect or malfunction and must be returned for repair to the manufacturer for repair or replacement. We can assist you in contacting the manufacturer and helping resolve the repair.
Firearms Return Policy: Any firearms must be returned to the store unfired, new in the box, with all in container accessories within 24 hours of purchase. There will be a $25 charge and the customer will be given a store credit for the firearm. After 24 hours all firearms will be considered used and cannot be treated as a returnable item.
Automatic Knife Repair Policy: We will ship back automatic knives for repair only if the knife was purchased from our store. The customer is responsible for the actual shipping costs if they are not covered by the manufacturer.
Warranties: Shooter's Supply is not an authorized warranty repair station. If there is a problem with any merchandise warranting repair, please bring the item(s) back to our store front for assistance. The only warranties are provided by the manufacturers. We will do our best to assist you by contacting the manufacturer(s) and helping to resolve any warranty repair issues through the manufacturer. The customer is responsible for the actual shipping cost if it is not provided by the manufacturer.
Transfers: Shooter's Supply will act as a transfer agent for certain firearms. We transfer firearms that are not regular stocking items, items that are no longer in production, or special run items by manufacturers. We do not transfer items that are in stock or we have regular access to sell to our customers. There is a $35 dollar transfer fee charged when your item is ready to be picked up. If sales tax has not been listed on the invoice we must collect Kentucky sales tax on the customer billed invoice.
Class III Transfers: Shooter's Supply will transfer certain Class III items that we do not stock from approved dealers. If we are a regular stocking dealer of the Class III item(s) we can order them for your purchase from the manufacturer. If we do not stock the particular suppressor line or if you desire to transfer a machine gun we can transfer the item(s). There is a $50 dollar transfer / documentation fee associated with each Class III item to be transfered.
Used Guns: All firearms or other used merchandise is sold as is and no warranties are implied. If you have a warranty issue with a used firearm we will help assist you in contacting the manufacturer for possible warranty repair service.
Layaways: We offer an in-store layaway plan requiring 1/3 down after taxes on your item(s). The complete balance is due within 60 days of the original purchase date. There are no refunds on layaway purchases, as the item is set aside and no longer sellable to customers on the sales floor.
Prices: We will attempt to match prices on new guns only for identical packages as long as they are published advertised prices from an actual store. We do not match internet prices, used gun prices, or expired advertising from other stores.
Sales Tax: Kentucky residents are subject to 6% sales tax.
Age Restrictions: All of our products are intended for adult use only or for use under adult supervision. You must be 18 years or older to purchase a long gun (rifle or shotgun), or 21 years or older to purchase a handgun or ammunition that could be used in a handgun. Additionally Class III NFA items can only be purchased by those 21 years of age or older.
Background Checks: There is no mandated waiting period for purchasing firearms in the state of Kentucky, but there is a background check required that involves filling out a form 4473. A current government issued photo ID with your current address must be present to complete the purchasing background check of all firearms.
Delays are possible upon completion of the background check. Generally these take 4 business days for the N.I.C.S. to resolve.
Out-of-state residents may purchase a long gun (rifle or shotgun) and may use their state ID providing it has a photo and current address and are subject to all applicable federal and state laws of the buyer's state of residence. If purchasing a handgun, out-of-state residents cannot take possession of that handgun until is has been transferred to a FFL dealer in your state who will comply with the laws and regulations of your state regarding handguns. We will need a signed copy of the FFL license that you wish your handgun(s) to be shipped. An additional shipping charge will be required for out-of-state resident handgun sales.
Military personnel may purchase handguns if they are out-of-state residents. They must provide a copy of their Permanent Duty Station orders and a current state photo ID.
Children: We welcome all families into our store front, but children must be supervised by an adult. No person under the age of 18 can enter the establishment without an adult or custodial guardian.
